Monday's (typically 9 to 10pm) are aimed at rookie and developing players while Wednesday's (typically 9 to 11pm) are generally at a higher level.
Some of our commonly used pools:
- Ryerson University. Once you get to 40 or 50 Gould Street just walk through the arches and you'll see an older looking building in front of you. Consider this the main entrance to the Athletics Facility. Head in and down the stairs. When you tell the main desk you're there for underwater hockey they will buzz you in. Head down another flight of stairs, past all the gym equipment and eventually you'll get to the change rooms. Find us on the pool deck!
- Trinity-Bellwoods Community Center at 155 Crawford St. There is free parking on-site or you can take the 502 Queen streetcar, get off at Crawford and walk about a minute north.
- Toronto Pan Am Aquatics Center. This is where we usually play on Wednesday nights for two hours from 9 to 11pm. Skill level is usually higher and new players are encouraged to try a rookie game first. Players from all over the GTA make the trek to this amazing facility for some great UWH!
- St. Lawrence Community Center at 230 The Esplanade. For TTC, travel on the King streetcar to Sherbourne, walk south to The Esplanade and then east.
Gear... in addition to your bathing suit you'll need fins, a mask, snorkel, a cap, UWH stick and UWH glove. We have club gear available for you to try out. Best to drop us a line in advance to ensure we have you covered.
Cost... fees vary depending on the pool being used but typically range between $13 and $17 per game. Other than Pan Am (where you pay the pool directly upon arrival), fees are paid to the Toronto Underwater Hockey Club via Paypal, cash or Interac E-Transfer. These fees go directly to the rental of the pool and equipment.
